The LAU Industrial Hub Advisory Council Holds its Inaugural Meeting
The LAU Industrial Hub held the inaugural meeting of its Advisory Council, marking an important step in strengthening the Hub’s connection with industry, government, and the wider innovation ecosystem.
The council was formed to support LAUIH’s strategic direction and help ensure that its activities remain aligned with market needs, industry priorities, and international best practices. The inaugural meeting brought together senior leaders from government, industry, business, and entrepreneurship, including Caretaker Minister of Industry George Boujikian, Dr. Fred G. Boustany, Vrej Sabounjian, Alan Tabourian, and Ramy Boujawdeh.
LAU President Michel E. Mawad welcomed the council members and highlighted the importance of structured collaboration between academia and industry. The meeting reinforced LAUIH’s role as a platform that connects LAU’s academic depth with applied industry needs, while creating hands-on opportunities for students and supporting Lebanon’s economic development.
Council members expressed their support for the Hub and its initiatives, emphasizing the value of a model that links professional delivery, student development, and industry engagement. The council is expected to provide ongoing strategic guidance as LAUIH expands its work with companies, institutions, and partners across Lebanon and beyond.
The inaugural meeting reflects LAUIH’s broader mission to help companies build, hire, and operate through LAU’s industry delivery model, while giving students direct exposure to real industry work.
