AI Adaptive Role-Play Coach

SIIRA
EBRD Innovation Programme
Software & AI
2025

The Challenge

SIIRA had built an AI simulation prototype for mental wellbeing coaching. It wanted to grow beyond human-led sessions in a safe way. To do that, it needed more depth. This meant a validated behavioral framework, psychological safeguards, adaptive feedback, and avatar design. It also meant culturally relevant Arabic-English interaction.

Our Solution

LAUIH delivered a rare joint project that combined AI engineering and behavioral psychology. The team assessed the technical platform and reviewed the CBT and MBT frameworks. They redesigned the EPQR-A and BEIS-10 profiling. They also designed adaptive scenarios, planned the avatar, and benchmarked against role-play and mental-health tools.

The Results

SIIRA received a validated roadmap. It shows how to move from a static prototype to an adaptive coaching platform grounded in psychology. The technical advice covers local LLM deployment and voice interaction. The psychological advice covers emotional intelligence, safety guardrails, and Arabic-English cultural modeling.
